Fundraising & Finances

Updates on money and fun… no idea how they got into the same sentence!

Now, because Nexus is a charity itself and can’t register with UCAS, we have to fund the course ourselves. This means holding fundraising events and asking people to donate to a good cause (a year of training to become a better musician, leading on to greater things musically for the Kingdom counts as a good cause don’t you think?).

It is also a very good opportunity to lean on God and trust in His provision. I know without a doubt that I will get enough money to fund this course (fees, rent, bills, other living expenses etc.) and trust fully that God will give me this. BUT that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. I know I’m having to put a lot of effort into making fundraising events happen and asking for sponsorship, and I know there are going to be times when I find it hard to scrape enough money together to pay my rent etc. That doesn’t mean I don’t trust God though – I know full well that He is not going to abandon me but will continue blessing me financially and He will bless those I receive from also. That is a fact.

If you wish to support me financially (whether that’s a one-off donation or regular donations throughout the year) just let me know and I will pass on the necessary details you need for that. Alternatively, there is a PayPal ‘Donate’ button on the right of every page which allows you to make a direct contribution without much fuss at all (don’t worry, you don’t need a PayPal account yourself to do so) – it’s quick and easy =)
